Incorporated in 2022, the Tourism Nanaimo Society operates as a non-profit organization and serves as the designated Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) for the City of Nanaimo. Our mission is to shape and promote the city’s tourism landscape through the development and implementation of a multi-year Destination Strategy. Additionally, we manage specialized strategies for Business and Meetings Tourism, Sport Tourism, and more recently, operate the community’s official Visitor Centre.
Centrally located in downtown Nanaimo at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre, our Visitor Centre provides a welcoming space where visitors and locals alike can access reliable information about local events, accommodations, experiences, attractions, and dining. Our friendly staff are here to enhance your experience by connecting you with the products and services you need.
