From October 29th to November 1st, the city is coming alive with a Halloweekend full of the ghostly, the historically haunted, creepy creativity, and the eerily entertaining.
There truly is something for everyone! From family-friendly trick-or-treating in the Old City Quarter and haunted lantern tours and Coal Mine jump scares at the Museum, to the sell-out Nanaimo Pride HalloQueen Dance and a Boo Bash in Diana Krall Plaza for families. There’s plenty lurking around Nanaimo this Halloweekend. From haunted history and creepy creativity to trick-or-treating, pumpkin carving, drag shows and the annual HalloQueen Dance, the Harbour City is getting spooky all weekend long.

Kick off the weekend with The Nanaimo Museum and The Curse of the Crystal Cavern or head to the Nanaimo Harbour Vancouver Island Regional Library for a special after-hours screening of this queer murder-mystery-horror-comedy of errors!
It's Halloween Eve, and what better way to celebrate than an Opening Reception at the Nanaimo Art Gallery, a Haunted Lantern Tour with Nanaimo Museum, or Pumpkin Carving Contest & Drag Show at Whitesails Brewing.
