Community Mural: Celebrating Culture and Diversity Through Art

Nanaimo Art Gallery 150 Commercial Street, Nanaimo

Collaborate on artist Annabelle Bail’s Community Mural at the Nanaimo Art Gallery. People in the community will come together to work on a large canvas, using paint and mixed mediums to create a community mural showcasing the beauty and power of diverse voices and perspectives. As an artist, Annabelle believes we can build understanding and empathy across different social and cultural divides through visual storytelling. This project will provide a space for all to embrace the uniqueness of our different perspectives by collaborating on an art piece, exploring the themes of what joy, happiness, and safety look and feel like to each of us in symbols, patterns, and colours.
