On my days off I like to relax and take it easy, go for breakfast and then go for a nice walk around Pipers Lagoon. So here are my top three picks of breakfast spots in Nanaimo!
As you may have seen in my last blog about Top Patio Spots, I love my patios. Gabriel’s has a nice one to enjoy your breakfast in the sunshine. My favourite thing to get here is the No. 11, which is Coconut Milk Pancakes with roasted apples, O.M.G. So good! Along with a cup of coffee from Creekmore’s Coffee in Coombs, it makes for a great meal before going on my seaside walk.
This place feels like a little piece of Europe on the west coast. It is an adorable little French café located on Commercial St. Other than their delicious pastries their breakfast is amazing. I got the Canadian bacon with eggs and a fresh baguette with house made preserves. I mean, who doesn’t love bacon? Especially Canadian bacon! I’m also a huge bread lover so baguettes kind of call my name. And no breakfast is complete without a caffeine kick; here I get a creamy latté.
I love that the Parklet installed by the DNBIA is right in front of here so I can sit and enjoy that long with my meal. I grabbed the “Love at First Bite”. OM.G. this was to die for!!! It’s rich and delicious French toast topped with blueberries, sweet cream and cheese and the real deal maple syrup from Quebec. Again, I’m a huge fan of bread, especially when it’s topped with sugary deliciousness.
Got another breakfast spot you think I should try out? Let me know! Have fun, #ExploreNanaimo Breakfast spots!
