June 11 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Sustainable Mental Wellness Workshop. We’re offered myriad self-care strategies and products all the time. With only so much time and so much money, how do we choose self-care practices that are truly sustainable both energetically and financially? Real self-care is an internal, reflective process. It’s a way to be, not a thing you do or buy. Using Pooja Lakshmin’s book “Real Self-Care” as a guide we’ll explore how four key principles are the foundation for real self-care: setting boundaries, knowing our core values, practicing self-compassion and using the power we do have. Knowing these principles helps us choose the self-care practices that will truly sustain us in every season of life. Facilitated by Jessica Schafer, Founder of My Inner Harbour, mental health therapist and mom of 3. Free for members. $10 drop-in for non-members. Limited to 10 participants. Hosted at My Inner Harbour – a warm and welcoming self-care space that supports community members to rest, reflect and reconnect. It’s located in a beautiful heritage building set back from the road on Wallace St between Campbell and Wentworth. There’s also an entrance off of Richards St at the back of the building with a few parking spots available. When you arrive, please ring the doorbell and staff will welcome you inside!
