Chelsea grew up on Vancouver Island and moved to Nanaimo in 1999 to attend Malaspina University-College. Since graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Tourism Management she has made a home in Nanaimo and has had several creative jobs in the tourism industry. Some of her previous roles include wedding planner, tour guide and catering coordinator. Her experience and passion lies in event and conference planning and is thrilled to be working closely with the Vancouver Island Conference Centre. In her position her planning skills come in handy as she creates, delivers and hosts unique familiarization tours. Other services she can provide include fact checking, providing photos, itinerary planning and personalized tour guide. She has always been an ambassador for Nanaimo and loves to promote this fabulous city.

Amanda is originally from Wetaskiwin, Alberta. Shortly after graduating high school she moved to Cranbrook, British Columbia where she completed her diploma in Tourism and Recreation Management from the College of Rockies. Amanda moved to Nanaimo to complete her degree in Tourism and Recreation Management at Malaspina University College and recently graduated in April 2007.
Previous to Tourism Nanaimo, Amanda was employed with the Cowichan Valley Regional District, at Kerry Park Recreation Centre as their Assistant Recreation Manager and before that she worked for a small events and marketing company in Grande Prairie, Alberta as the Event and Volunteer Coordinator. Although her work has focused on recreation, she has always had a passion for the tourism industry.
